About Us
MicroDoctor’s e-waste division was founded by Tony Bosch, a passionate recycler and environmental steward in Port Elizabeth. Today, it’s proudly led into the future by Alex van Zyl, with a strong focus on education, youth awareness, and collaborative sustainability.
With experience in schools, tech, and environmental education, we’re helping build a new culture around
e-waste where people know what it is, why it’s harmful, and how to recycle it properly.
Jane of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one
Hey, I’m Alex, the new face behind MicroDoctor’s E-Waste Recycling division.
I’ve always been passionate about education, sustainability, and tech and I believe we have a huge opportunity to create real change by showing people how to recycle electronics the right way.
Continuing the legacy of Tony Bosch, I’m proud to continue MicroDoctor’s mission with a fresh focus on community education, school involvement, and responsible recycling for homes and businesses.
Through my partnership with Bliksem Smash Room, we’re also tackling plastic-heavy e-waste head-on and breaking it down to recycling it piece by piece to reduce harm to the planet.
Whether you’re a parent with old phones, a school full of outdated tech, or a business doing an upgrade I’m here to help you recycle smarter.
